Last week, I had the (un)fortunate experience of being called to jury duty. When I called to confirm whether or not I actually had to show up, I got a recording that listed all the items not allowed in the courthouse. Strangely, most of the listed items were those used by crafters. Knitting needles, crochet hooks, needles, and small scissors (even blunt end) were all on the list. I was quite disappointed that I wouldn't be able to use that time to be crafty, since my past jury duty experience consisted of eight hours staring at others in the Wayne County courthouse. Entertaining, yes - but not the most productive use of my time.
And of course I was granted the opportunity last week to serve as a juror on a criminal trial. If I couldn't craft, at least I could learn a little about our judicial process. It was a learning experience in more ways than one!
The good news is that I have been able to spend some time working on Liz's quilt, which I should be able to finish by the end of the month. I'll post pictures as soon as I figure out how to do so.

Hey Candis:
I was also called to jury duty as well a couple weeks ago and had to report to the big Wayne County building. I took a day off of work, and they decided they had enough jurors. Phew ... So, at least I'm "unavailable" for a year or two. TTYS, Peg :OD
