pretty cake

I haven't been doing any crafting over the past two weeks. My new job is taking up all my spare time and wearing me out! I am thankful for this 3-day weekend so I can spend some time with "the man" and get the dust off my sewing machine.

My friend Shara sent me pics of a cake she made a few days ago. Can you believe it's her first time working with fondant? I can't - I honestly think it looks professional.



I've never worked with fondant. It looks difficult. People tell me it's really not, but I just don't believe them. Besides, in all honesty, I'd rather slap some frosting on so we can get to the eatin' that much quicker. It doesn't have to be pretty to be tasty.
