more babies on the way...

Since my last post, I have found out two more friends are pregnant. So, as of right now, I have four friends expecting five babies in the next nine months (at least the ones I know about). Wow!

I have been doing so much sewing (and sewing project planning) that I'm missing my knitting needles a bit. I also realized last week that I need some inspiration for all these new babies coming into the world. So off to the book stores I went, and found three great books:

Chic Knits for Stylish Babies by Patricia Wagner
Easy Baby Knits by Claire Montgomerie
Simple Knits for Cherished Babies by Erika Knight

The best part of these books is that the patterns are not written completely in that knitting code that drives me insane. The directions are written more in a step-by-step sentence format, which makes it easier for me to comprehend what I'm supposed to be doing. I probably won't start any of these projects until later this fall, but it's nice to have them on the shelf.

On another note, I made mini-cheesecakes for my husband today. The raspberries are from our garden, and taste better than any I've ever gotten at a grocery store. But I think there's something about knowing where your raspberries (and food) comes from that makes the fruit even sweeter.
