a month of firsts

January has been quite an interesting month. But the biggest news is that I made my first sale on Etsy! I sold my Guiseppe Arcimboldo envelopes. They were purchased as a birthday present. I must admit it was hard to let them go, but the buyer was overjoyed with them. And making my first sale, even with my favorite item, was completely worth it.

I also helped Melodi with her first craft fair at the Royal Oak Farmers Market. Even though the temperature was in the low 20s that day, turnout wasn't that bad. She didn't make her first show sale, but we got lots of great advice from our booth neighbor, Yvonne. Sometimes the networking is worth the booth price. I have decided to apply for the "Think Spring" Craft Fair in March. In fact, I will be putting my check in the mail tomorrow. If I'm accepted, I will let everyone know the gritty details. I'm also plotting craftiness for the summer. It helps to think of summer when you've had the same snow on the ground for two weeks. Geez...
