no iron required

This summer has been a hot mess! Between the massive heat and humidity, the last thing I want to do is spend time in my craft room with the iron on. You wouldn't believe how that little appliance heats up the room so quickly (a major bonus in the winter though). So, I was charged with finding a project that I could do without the iron. After reviewing my idea book, I decided it would be a good time to try out my jewelry line.

The first item I've worked on is a t-shirt material ring. I got the idea after purchasing a ring in Chicago that's made from zippers. I thought spiraling the different t-shirt colors would also make an impressive pattern. I love how these turned out! Big thanks to Mel for wearing the prototype and giving much needed feedback.

Made in my very nice and cool basement while watching Season 2 of True Blood.

I have a few in my shop right now, and more coming later this week along with some necklace pendants. Feel free to leave comments and let me know what you think.

I do owe a few tote bags to people that have given me t-shirts (I haven't forgotten). I plan to work on those earlier in the day or later at night this week.
