handmade holiday 2007.1

Christmas was wonderful! Lots of handmade goodies were given and received. Some are still in progress, but I thought I'd share photos of what was opened on the 25th. More photos will follow as we can finish our projects...

After deconstructing a pair of recycled wool sweater mittens I bought at a craft fair, Mom developed a pattern of her own. The result was two wonderful pairs of mittens for me and Melodi. The photos above are of my mittens in EMU colors (go Eagles!).

The above vase and flower pot were made by Melodi for me. In addition to constructing her own designs, Mel also custom colors her grout.

After Melodi saw Liz's purse last Christmas, she put in a request for one of her own. I even let her pick out her own yarn, and had a great fabric for the inside liner already in my stash.

Here are the egg and toast ornaments I made for my Mom - the fried egg queen. Aaron gave them a thumbs up :-)
