Here's what I used (makes 50-60 candies):
1 10 oz bag of Snyder's "Snaps" pretzels
1 12 oz bag of Rolo candy
whole unsalted nuts (optional)
1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
2. Line a cookie sheet with foil or wax paper (I happened to have parchment paper). This will make a huge difference trying to clean up.
3. Unwrap your Rolo candies (try not to eat too many).
4. Place pretzels on cookie sheet about an inch apart. Lay one Rolo in the center of each pretzel.
5. Carefully place cookie sheet in the oven for 5-6 minutes. Rolo will come out looking a little melted, but will retain original shape.
6. Remove from oven. Immediately place another pretzel on top of Rolo and gently press into place. Don't press too hard - you want a sandwich and not Rolo oozing over the sides.
7. Set aside for at least 15 minutes to cool. You may even place in the refrigerator for a few minutes to finish setting up. Trust me, it's worth the wait. You won't be able to taste them if you burn your mouth!
8. Once they're set, the candies are ready to eat. You can see in the picture I made a few substituting a whole walnut instead of another pretzel on top. I prefer pecans, but I had walnuts in the house so that's what I used.
I hope you enjoy these. If you get a chance to try them, please post a comment and let me know what you think.

Oh, Grandma Irene would have loved these!!
What a great "treat" to make with kids. I would like to try dipping them in white chocolate when they cool and striping them with more chocolate.
Too bad I've sworn off high fructose corn syrup and partially hydrogenated oil - I'm sure at least one of them is in there.... Good news is that I've lost over 25 pounds; and Mark has lost about 15.
Love you - Aunt Dee
