desperately seeking fishing

I swear, July is flying by! Jimmy and I took our annual trip to Ontario over the July 4th weekend. While exploring a truly wild area, Jimmy found a "prime" (his word, not mine) fishing location. However, he realized that in order to get to the fish, he needed to get in the water. No big deal, right? Not when you're crafty.

A trip to the local thrift store for some galoshes, another to the grocery store for garbage bags. Add in duct tape and some camping twine, and you have a set of fishing waders (thanks, Big Dee). They might look a little rough, but they did the trick - kept his legs dry and relatively warm in that cold Ontario lake water. But alas, he didn't catch anything. Maybe next year.

This is HILARIOUS!!! I love it! It's something I would totally do. Too bad he didn't catch any fish :(

Oh how this post reminds me of home. I'm from Romulus and moved to New York City in January. When I meet new people I find it so hard to believe that they've never camped or fished. It's such a "way" of life back home and although I am, in deed, a city girl I fear I will forever wallow in the sadness at a good fishing post :)
