another t-shirt bag

Yesterday morning I decided to take another stab at the t-shirt bag. I used two of Jimmy's old t-shirts that were quite beat up and stained, but I decided the objective was to perfect skills and not make something I would sell to others. After a couple of hours and another finished bag, I think I've finally got a formula for making a good bag.

I liked the other bag's two-toned handles better. It makes the bag more interesting, even if it takes a little longer to pin and sew. I also used another of his favorite t-shirts for the lining - a shirt we got in Canada that says "I Am Canadian." He used to wear that one every year during our trip. It was hard for him to give it to me to repurpose, but he knew it was time to stop wearing it in public.

I decided to give the bag to Jimmy since it was made from his favorite t-shirts. I thought he might not want a tote bag, but he was really excited about it. I'm sure it will end up hauling his lunch to work or golf supplies of some sort.
