successful mini-craft show

Despite the midday rain, we had a nice turnout at our first mini-craft show today. Thank you to everyone that came - we really appreciated your support, suggestions, and kind words. We are already thinking of another show, possibly this fall for the holiday season. Mel and I are also trying to get it together and start selling online this summer (we'll keep you posted).

I was amazed that all of my items that almost took over a whole eight foot long table fit into three small boxes. I had baby bibs and booties, zipper pouches, notecards and handmade envelopes today. I had quite a bit on the table, but then I've had quite a bit of time on my hands lately.

Mel's area was full of mosaic goodness. The green votive candle holders from my previous blog post sold early.

Mom's potholders (right in photo) were really popular. She even had the holiday wreaths up, just in case anyone was thinking ahead and wanted to place an order. The wreath in this picture is one she made for me (it's for sample viewing only - not for sale).

Cheryl was the first to arrive (at 11:52, to be exact) so she could have first pick. She bought several items, including one of Mom's potholders. After she got home, she decided she should've bought a second coordinating potholder, so she came back. This is the potholder she had to come back for.

Toya purchased a few washcloths and a vase from Mel for a housewarming gift for a friend. The blue/purple washcloths were a big hit today (they all sold).

Overall, a wonderful way to spend a Saturday selling crafty goodness and seeing friends and family. If you weren't able to come and would like to purchase something, please let us know. I will also be holding a special contest on the blog in the next few days, so make sure you visit next week for more details.
